2024 State Mock Trial Judge Volunteers

About the 2025 Competition

Thank you for volunteering for the 2025 Idaho High School Mock Trial Competition. Judges are welcome to sign up for as many competition days as they are available. HOWEVER, please know that you are COMMITTING to judge for all the competition days you sign up for.

Sign Up Instructions

You will receive a confirmation email after you click the Submit button at the end of the registration form. Please note that once you submit the form, you can't make any changes. If something changes in your availability, contact our mock trial staff at the email address included in the confirmation email.

Competition Times

Regional Competitions run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lunch is provided for judges

State Competitions run from 4:00 to 10:00 PM. Dinner is provided for judges

Competition Dates & Locations

  • Eastern Idaho Regional: Saturday, February 1, 2025, Pocatello
  • North Idaho Regional: Saturday, February 22, 2025, Coeur d'Alene
  • Treasure Valley Regional: Saturday, March 1, 2025, Boise
  • State Competition: Wednesday, March 12-Thursday, March 13, 2025, Boise

All fields are required, unless otherwise noted.

What is your role in the court system?
Competition Role

Please note that judges will be assigned to preside unless they opt out or there are no presiding slots available.

Attorneys will be assigned to score unless a presiding spot is available and they opt in.

Law students and community members will be assigned to score.

Select Regional Competitions

Regional competitions are held on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lunch is provided for judges.

Select State Competition

State competition rounds are held on Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Ada County Courthouse. Dinner is provided for judges.

You may sign up for both days or just one day. Please remember that you are committing to judge both rounds on the day or days you select.
